Document Templates appear at the top of Student and Teacher homepages. They are pre-populated with Writing Plans, Blocks, and Signal Words. In templates, Blocks have been added to the document to guide writers towards a logical structure.

There is a template for every Writing Plan in zine, doc, and story formats. While these templates provide a great starting point for writers who need help with structure, the placement of the Blocks is easily editable. They can be adjusted based on the organization of the writer’s ideas.

Templates have many uses. Students can choose to start an independent writing piece using a template, or teachers can use a template as a starting point when creating an assignment.
